Man U fan's sick tweet to Jamie Vardy
Vardy posts a picture of his baby daughter, and some man u fans tweets "i would rape your little girl with mufc flags and put her face in your...." couldn't read anymore on the link I saw.

When the child's mother called him a sick fucking twat, he responds "Who won't finger this little hoe.."

Now I'm not sure it was really a man u fan, but I am fantasizing about him turning up on the 13th and making his presence known to me. I'm all for a bit of dark even sick humour, but this is so far over the line, it's unreal.

Plod is on the case and I hope they catch him and lock him up in a Leicester nick.

Social media can be reprehensible.....anyone thinking this funny needs to look long and hard in the mirror. Web anonymity is no excuse for the pathetic trolls.

Celebs get shit like that said to them on social media all the time tbh, and 99% of the time just seem to block it. Sometimes they give it back. Very occasionally this happens....

Re: Man U fan's sick tweet to Jamie Vardy
It's a sick world and there are a lot of sick people out there. So I do agree that putting personal pictures on the internet of your babies or young children is asking for it. That shouldn't be the case but it is.

I would even bet the person that made those comments probably has a normal life with family and friends. It's just that behind a computer people do feel invincible and it changes people. They say things that are totally out of character and they normally wouldn't. And it's all down to there being no come-back. It creates a feeling of power.

Now this person may well be a compete sicko though. And if he is then that's the way it is. Vardy's photo going on Twitter opens up his life to these people. You have to be careful and keep your photo's filtered to certain people.

The worlds a nasty place.

Re: Man U fan's sick tweet to Jamie Vardy

You can set up filters to make your account only viewable to those invited. However, considering how much any 'celebrity' earns from promoting brands, their businesses, TV shows etc it would kind of defeat the point of them being on there on there in the first place.

Read last week that Ronaldo got paid $200k for a single tweet advertising a particular style of football boots. The world has gone mental!

Re: Man U fan's sick tweet to Jamie Vardy
Without giving the sicko any credence or credibility, is it not possible to restrict who sees your posts/pictures on social media?

Assuming the whole world gives a fuck about your life is just inviting unwanted (and unwarranted) replies & responses.

Take a bit of responsibility (or give a fuck) and take the time to set up a filter so only those you want/invite can respond. YOU have no control over the niceness of others, so put a bit of effort into what you can control instead.

It's not as if having so many "likes" or "follows" on the internet actually means something important, is it?

Incidents like this are going to make high profile individuals contributions to any social media more stage managed, more PR-professional controlled and therefore more and more bland as time moves on.

Some will still be learning that there is no point treating social media as if you’re talking to your friends, because there will always be a small handful watching who will use it to attack you, sometimes venomously.

For every 14 year old that gets busted this month for doing it, there will constantly be new ones coming along behind who haven’t yet figured out that this is not a smart thing to do so I’m sure personal stuff will become less and less common on people’s accounts, even if there are consequences for the perpetrator.

Mind you, not that anyone has ever put anything interesting on Twitter yet that I’ve seen...

I reckon we all love a good rape joke but if someone actually sends a message to someone they don't know saying they're gonna rape their child it's a bit different, and certianly not Vardy's "fault" for being "naive". Dunno if its necessary for the police to get involved but they probably wouldn't be doing their job if they didn't.

Sick joke but harmless on a forum like this.

I think there is a world of difference between a 'sick' post on here for laughs and a Tweet which will be read by the person you are talking about and meant to cause hurt.
